The interest in the style of the former first lady never really died out. In fact, it remains high even to this day. For one, a pair of pumps that she used to own went on auction in Los Angeles. The footwear was designed by Rene Mancini. The shoes were in size 10 and sold to an anonymous bidder for nearly $30K.

Three years before that, two of her fake pearl necklaces were also auctioned off. They went for around $47K at an auction in England. When Jacie bought them, they were only worth a couple of hundred bucks. Jean Ghika, a jewelry expert at Bonhams, said, “It’s fair to say that 99.9 percent of the value is because they belonged to Jackie Kennedy.”
