When you get it with the Duramax® 6.6-L Turbo-Diesel V8, so it should be able to accommodate all sorts of stress. Furthermore, it will be able to easily hit 250,000 miles! Tried and tested, the standard engine for the Silverado 3500HD is a Vortec® 6.0-L V8 on petrol. Even without add-ons, the base model can go hundreds of thousands of miles!
