Chris Webber was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Born in 1973, he was already familiar with basketball ever since he was a young boy. Just like other athletes, however, he only took the sport seriously when he entered high school. Webber helped the basketball team from Detroit Country Day School win the title during the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) State Championship.

As a Michigan native, it was almost expected that he would be interested in cars! His first car happened to be a Chevy Corsica in burgundy. He has referred to his ‘baby’ as his best friend.
