Timeout Trouble
In the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championships of 1993, Chris made everyone facepalm. He made a timeout call and it ended up costing them the title. There were only 10 seconds left in the game and the North Carolina Tar Heels were in the lead at 73-71. When he called for a timeout, he did not realize there were no longer any left! It earned him a technical foul and the loss of the Wolverines. That’s not an easy mistake to forget and we bet he is still ashamed of it.
