Leonard Nimoy

Recently, William Shatner made headlines by talking about the departure of Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek. It is fascinating to hear that Nimoy got to oversee the conclusion of Dr. Spock and even directed the death scene of his character in The Wrath of Khan. Back then, none of his castmates had any idea that he was going to abandon the franchise altogether. Director Nicholas Meyer, together with a few other people, knew of his decision. According to them, Nimoy left since he had “ambivalent” feelings about his role and wanted to move on with his life. The good news is that there is no bad blood. Shatner even said that their relationship had been “all great.”

Dominic Monaghan

We highly doubt that we are the only ones who found LOST confusing. Dominic Monaghan was cast to play Charlie on the drama but asked to be written out after only thirteen episodes! In the end, the network executives and the actor came to an agreement that he could get out of the contract after the third season. The show had to be rewritten so that the character could get a premature death. Monaghan revealed that he made up his mind to leave since the “pressure” that came with the show was making the experience less enjoyable. Damon Lindelof, the director, said that he shed tears over his departure. Aside from that, he said that he could not believe that the show went on for as long as it did!
