He smiled confidently, like someone keeping a secret. “Your story could lead to important discoveries for us.” I felt my head filling with questions, intrigued by all the possibilities.

Diving into the world of squirrels
On my return, my curiosity got the better of me. I switched on my computer and typed “skinks” into the search engine. The screen filled up with pages full of fascinating details. “Unbelievable, there’s so much to learn,” I mumbled as I clicked on one article after another. The more I read, the more I realized my ignorance. My enthusiasm for Calangos grew and opened the door to a whole new universe.
