During Paige Spiranac’s freshman year, she competed in three different events for the Arizona Wildcats. This was for the 2011-2012 season. Her best score for that season was a 73. She reached her best score twice in just a single tournament. This was for the Windy City Intercollegiate. However, the University of Arizona felt wrong. Paige said she had become the victim of bullying from other girls and that the other female athletes even spread nasty rumors about her.

Change Of Environment

Since Paige felt miserable at the University of Arizona, she decided to transfer to San Diego State University for her sophomore year. She badly needed a change in the environment, and for the first time in her life, she finally felt welcomed by her acquaintance. The atmosphere was also ideal for her. And her coach, Leslie Spalding, saw the potential in her and was so sure that Paige had the potential to be a great golfer. It was a good thing that she transferred because it proved that San Diego State University was the right one for Paige.
