Random Jean Buttons
The extra buttons around pockets on jeans are placed strategically to stop the garment from wearing out and ripping open at the seams. The buttons are called rivets and the patent on them belongs to jeans giant Levi Strauss. The idea came to Strauss when he heard miners complaining about how easily their jeans were wearing out back in 1829.
