The Coconut Crab Can Grow Up To 3 Feet Long
In case you did not know, a hermit crab species called the Coconut Crab is the biggest crab in the world! These creatures can weigh as much as nine pounds and reach a leg-to-leg length of up to 3 feet 3 inches. They are found in various islands in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. They usually eat nuts, seeds, and fruits, although they also eat carrion and the like. Do not let the name mislead you because there is not a whole lot of coconut in their diet. They simply climb whatever they can when they feel threatened and are looking for safety. Trust us, you will never forget the sight of these creatures scaling a wall!
This Terrifying Bird Of Prey Has A Wingspan Of 8 To 10 Feet
Even regular birds of prey are already terrifying enough, so you can imagine how scary this creature is. The Cinereous Vulture can have a wingspan length of 8 to 10 feet and weigh as much as 31 pounds. Female ones are a little bigger than male ones as well. Known as one of the heaviest flying birds in the world, it is a solitary creature that occasionally lives in pairs. Packs made up of as many as 20 birds might convene to eat carcasses. They primarily eat carrion. Sadly, they are “near threatened” thanks to the destruction of their habitats, as well as their tendency to eat poisoned food meant for dogs and the like.
