Feldman has lovely memories of shooting The Lost Boys, but there were several drawbacks. Feldman, for example, was regularly consuming drugs while filming when he was 14 years old. Schumacher stepped in with some stern suggestions due to his on-set intoxication. Feldman explained on Twitter in 2020, “He tried to stop my descent.” Things allegedly got so bad that the director fired the actor, but Feldman later apologized. Schumacher rehired the star because he vowed to be professional.

Feldman’s vices, unfortunately, harmed his acting career. In recent years, he is perhaps best known for his bizarre rebranding from actor to pop star. His bizarre appearance on The Today Show in 2017 didn’t help matters either. Worse, he had said that he had been exploited by older Hollywood figures when he was a teen. He also said that Corey Haim, his Lost Boys co-star, had been abused.
