Anyone who is a fan of the show would be familiar with the controversy surrounding Duck Dynasty. It started with what Phil said in a magazine interview. It was offensive to many and brought on the unwanted spotlight on the patriarch. This led to the show getting suspended for a short period of time. Some people think that this might have been the start of the decline of the viewership and ratings of the show, which eventually led to its cancellation after 11 successful seasons.
