In the time that she had been in the spotlight, there were rumors that surfaced about Nadya mistreating her children. Being a single mom of fourteen kids would definitely be challenging and fully addressing the children’s needs must take a lot. Child Protective Services was even asked to look into the matter and an investigation on whether there was some truth to Nadya neglecting her children was carried out. However, when Child Protective Services went to Nadya’s house, there were no signs of negligence on her part and they saw the rumors were baseless – they even declared her home as pretty suitable for kids.

Unfortunately, someone else who had the power to greatly affect Nadya’s life sharply disagreed with what Child Protective Services said about her home being suitable for her kids – her landlord. To be honest, he is among the few people that actually had the power to change her life and he said that Nadya violated her lease’s terms. He even revealed Nadya’s situation to the media before he evicted her and her 14 children. Nadya just wanted to be a good mother to her children, yet they were all now going to become homeless, so this drove her to desperate measures.
