A Historical Find

The structure underneath John’s backyard is a nuclear fallout shelter which was built at a time when the Cold War tensions were at their peak. During this time, mass paranoia was rising, which resulted in people having bomb shelters constructed. Whitaker Pools grew their business behind the scenes and started to include services that people wanted. Instead of swimming pools, people wanted bomb shelters underneath their backyards. As John was learning more about the complex, he realized that he probably was not alone.
