The sad truth is that there are many rescue centers and animal shelters that cannot keep up with the demands of the job. They rarely have enough resources to take in all the animals that they have to. However, there was something else that Chris and Mariesa noticed when they went to the Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. It was full of one dog breed: pit bulls! Why is it that there are so many of these cute dogs there? Chris and Mariesa did not know it back then, but one of them would change their lives.

Many people think badly of pit bulls, but they do not deserve the reputation they have gotten. The dog breed is distinctive for a large head and muscly body, but this does not make it more dangerous than others. Sadly, it is still illegal to own them in many states. This is why so many of them are in the shelter.
