In Two and a Half Men, the world watched Charlie Sheen in the role of Charlie Harper. He starred in the show for eight seasons, but he was ultimately fired for erratic behavior. The sitcom went on for four more seasons, with Ashton Kutcher stepping in to fill the void he left. The original actor might have been fired, but he continues to make money from the reruns. After all, the residuals are not contingent on not getting fired. How did they replace his character? The writers killed him off, so it is not likely that the show would be rebooted even though Sheen pitched one a few years ago. It is interesting to note that he claimed to be blacklisted in the industry after the show fired him.

The show enjoyed a run of six seasons from 2009 to 2015. It was a global phenomenon that took the world by storm. In fact, the stars of the show had been raking in a million bucks per episode by the end of it. The finale received viewership in the millions. However, the rights to the show are owned by Fox. This means that the actors and actresses have not received much in the way of residuals.
