Mildred Burke broke up with promotion runner Billy Wolfe. His response was to give the title to June Byers instead! The ladies consented to a real fight to settle things. Burke thought that she was going to win, but Byers attacked her injured knee and put her in a kneelock. Burke’s leg got dislocated. In the end, Byers ended up victorious during the half-hour fight between the two of them.
