Together with Christin and Jeff Hardy, Edge and Matt Hardy took sports entertainment to a new level when they reinvented the Ladder Match. The rivalry between them got personal in 2005. Hardy had been injured while his girlfriend Diva Lit was traveling with Edge. This started their backstage hostility. Lita and Edge started to get romantic, which caused some bad feelings between the partners to grow.

While The Rock and John Cena did not have backstage fights, they had beef that began in WrestleMania. Many believe that it started when Cena made comments about The Rock in 2007. In revenge, The Rock made a video and accused him of only doing it for the money. The hostility must have subsided since two years later, Cena took the title from The Rock. They held each other’s hand up on the stage!
