Born into an upper-middle-class family, Kate was married to a member of Britain’s royal family. She receives a lot of help in caring for her child than other average mothers do. In an interview, Kate said, “Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, it has also been a huge challenge, even for me, who has support at home that most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother.”

While Meghan Admitted She Struggled With Mental Health
After Megan became a mom, she shared her personal struggle to maintain her mental health early in an interview with Today. She said, “Look, any woman, especially when they’re pregnant– you’re really vulnerable. So that was made really challenging. And then, you have a newborn, you know? It’s really a lot.” Taking up residence on Vancouver Island at the beginning of 2020 gave Meghan the privacy and peace she wanted to live in.
