Kate grew up with a family that developed meaningful relationships by teaching her skills. Kate said she wanted to offer her kids the same kind of childhood experience during the Happy Mum chat, Happy Baby podcast with Giovanna Fletcher.“I had an amazing Granny who devoted a lot of time to us– playing with us, doing arts and crafts, and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us.” She continued, “I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now.”

After Archie’s birth, Meghan was planning on being a very “hands-on, engaged mother,” according to a source. Meghan enjoys cooking, which is probably why the couple chose a gourmet kitchen to stay at a friend’s island home in Vancouver. Daniel Martin, a close friend of Meghan’s, told King Gayle, who also takes Archie’s 1-2 hour walk, “I’m sure the baby’s going to be raised clean and green. She loves to cook, eating organic whenever she can. I see her marking her food. Totally!”.
