Many potholes seemed to appear out of the blue, but David took the matter into his own hands and fixed them for years, given that no one cared or did anything to fix it. He was worried that there might be an accident and somebody would get hurt. Not everybody is like David, unfortunately, and his neighbors had different plans for them.

His neighbors were trying to turn the gravel onto the asphalt, and David refused. No one was willing to pay the money to do it. This was the reason for the fighting, a fight that had been going on for generations to come, between the two parties. Even David’s daughter said she couldn’t remember a time when there was no fighting between them, and she said, “Everybody here is a complete nutjob.”
