Damian thought the noise was the gorillas’ way of accepting Victoria into their family. Another proof was that they approached and nuzzled her! It seemed like they had taken a liking to her right away.

The gorillas acted friendly to both the lovebirds by showering them with hugs and nuzzles. However, Damian and Victoria eventually decided to head out. They were not abandoning the two, of course.
