Makes Your Hair Shiny
As a frequent coconut oil user, I can ensure you that using coconut oil in the shower does in fact make your hair smooth, silky, and oh-so-shiny. Before bringing the oil into the shower, you first need to warm it up so that it turns into liquid form. After shampooing, run the liquid oil through your hair. However, don’t forget to let the oil sit in your hair for 5 minutes and poof!, shiny luscious hair!
A Natural Lip Balm
Having chapped lips is as painful as it is annoying and inconvenient. Using coconut oil as lip balm will save your lips from being chapped and dry. Simply put a small amount of oil on your finger and lightly dab/smear it right onto your lips.
Perfect As Body Lotion
Similar to its use as lip balm, coconut oil can also be used as a daily moisturizer. So here’s how to use it: take a quarter-sized amount and spread it anywhere (and everywhere) on your body. It’s best to apply the oil right after a shower, as it will soak/seep right into your skin leaving you with a natural (hydrated) glow. Furthermore, feel free to add natural scents in the oil such as peppermint or lavender.
