Prince Charles was said to be standing at a window with a glimpse of people gathering outside the cathedral in advance of the wedding. The night before the big day, Prince Charles, 32, asked something about love from his now old valet Stephen. He then spoke to Stephen about his feelings. “Is it possible to love two men at the same time?” he asked his valet.

She spoke of a moment just after her engagement with Prince Charles during one point in the recordings she had made. She thought she had to put the engagement down to her sisters. During the time of her involvement, Diana was twenty years old, and it was reported now she trusted her family to refuse to go to the wedding. ‘I went upstairs, I had lunch there with my sisters, and I said, ‘I can’t marry him. I can’t. I can’t do that. And they looked wonderful and said,’ Oh, bad luck, Duch. Your face is already on the tea towel, so you’re too late to chicken out.”
