Dog’s have 220 million olfactory receptors which are over 40x more than humans! This means that their smelling abilities are off the charts, and when you notice them sniffing around its to check out any danger or tracking prey. They do this while remaining calm but they can differentiate between dogs, people, and even identical twins.
