Paige Renee Spiranac came from a background of athletes. Her father had played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. He had even won the NCAA championship. Even her mother, Annette, was athletic. She was a professional ballerina. Not only were her parents athletic, but even her older sister Lexie got a scholarship at Stanford University because she was a fantastic sprinter. This clan was athletic.

She Faced Many Medical Issues
When Paige was still a young little girl, she had severe asthma and allergies to the point that she had to use her inhaler. She even had to be rushed to the hospital for some of her asthma attacks because she had difficulty in breathing. Because of this, she was not allowed to go to any places with pets. She did not experience sleepovers during her younger days because her mom even had to check in on her every night to make sure that her breathing was normal. Aside from asthma, she also had a rare hair condition where her hair was always falling out. Her medical issues were one of the causes of her being bullied.
