Stapler Plates
Many people have no idea that the metal plate found on a stapler is actually called an anvil. If you turn the stapler upside down and spin the wheel until the anvil is in line with the square which it sits on, you can have a “temporary staple.” This means that the staple arms will be pushed outward instead of inwards, thus making it easier to take out the staple later. Useful stuff, this is!
The Hole In Your Lollipop Stick
The hole in the lollipop stick is not actually meant for entertainment, though no one is stopping you from turning the stick into a whistle, just like what kids do. The purpose of the lollipop hole is to keep the candy stuck to the stick. Some of the melted candy that is poured into the molding seeps into the hole. Once the candy hardens, it does not move.
