Long Bottle Necks
Long necked bottles are used for adult beverages because even if you hold a beer for a long time, the shape of the bottle helps prevent discomfort. It is also easier to pour the drink into a glass or mug with the shape. Unfiltered beers usually come in bottles with a more bulbous neck so that the sediments are captured. Long necks are better at distributing heat throughout the bottle as well.

Can Tabs
Have you ever been annoyed by the tab detaching and falling into the can of your soda? Apparently, the tab was originally designed to act as a straw holder. These days, most people drink from the can. Manufacturers even widened the mouth of cans to make this easier!
