Black Grating In The Microwave
If you have inspected your microwave really closely, we applaud you because very few people have actually done that. However, what we are about to highlight here is something that is easy to notice. We are talking about the Faraday shield or the black grating which is on the door of a microwave. It is very important because it keeps the electromagnetic fields inside the microwave so that they do not warm people.
Dimples On Golf Balls
Looking at a golf ball closely, you will realize that it is not really round with the dimples on its surface. Apparently, golfers noticed that the balls with bumps and nicks tend to travel longer distances. The imperfections create turbulence, and thereby reduce drag. This is why manufacturers started to make golf balls which have dimples. They wanted to create more lift. It will not be much help, though, if you are playing a game of putt-putt.
