Giraffes Are Roughly As Tall As Bungalows
The World Wildlife Federation has reported that the tallest terrestrial mammal in the world is the giraffe. Male ones stand at a height of five meters, which is roughly as high as a bungalow. It is also impressive to learn that these creatures have a huge heart! These gentle giants have hearts measuring two feet and a blood pressure that is three times higher than ours. This makes sense when you consider that it needs to pump blood through its very long neck. These animals are so tall that it is hard for them to stand up when they are seated. This is the reason you almost always see them in a standing position.
Frankie The Great Dane Used To Be The Biggest Dog In The World
Even though Frankie the Great Dane looks a little intimidating, he actually has a huge heart! This seven-foot dog lives in England and holds a record. In December 2016, he was hailed the tallest dog on the planet by the Guinness Book of World records. However, he was upstaged by Big George in 2017. At any rate, he is a big fellow who weighs 210 pounds and eats food worth $134 to satiate his incredible appetite. Apparently, his favorite meal is either peanut butter on toast or a whole roast chicken. Aside from edible food, he likes to chew on sofas and has actually ruined 23 of them in the past.
