Corey Haim Played Sam Emerson
Corey Haim was just a teenager at the time, but he already had a number of acting credits under his belt before auditioning for The Lost Boys. It seemed as though landing the role of Sam Emerson was a foregone conclusion. During their first meeting, director Michael Schumacher, according to Haim, addressed the actor by his character’s name. That was a very fortunate break!

The Two Coreys
Haim and Corey Feldman met while filming The Lost Boys, and the teen heartthrobs – affectionately known as “the two Coreys” – became fast friends and had a fruitful screen partnership. Feldman told PR.com in 2008, “Whether it was coincidence or some master plan from the studio system, we ended up making three films back to back.” License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989) are the other two films (1989).
