While having a beard had plenty of advantages, it also comes with a few challenges. It even became a hassle at some point. There was a time when Jase had to go through an additional search at the airport because of it. They must have thought that he looked suspicious. At the time, his beard was longer than usual as the season had just ended. Thus, airport security decided to give him a mandatory inspection.

After the mandatory search by the security personnel at the airport, people were able to recognize him and asked for a picture or an autograph. He even got to talk to a little boy as well. However, he discovered that the boy hadn’t seen his show at all. The boy actually thought that he was a Geico caveman from the auto insurance company. When Jase heard what the boy said, he started to wonder if he really needed a shave.
