In the military, you can’t really afford the luxury of a long and leisurely shower. Soldiers don’t really have time for that when they’re always on duty. So showers are usually short and sweet and seen more as a necessity than a luxury. So even when they get back into normal civilian life, many soldiers carry this idea with them.

If you’re a soldier, you do tend to where your sunglasses at night. Well, in the morning, the evening, come rain or shine, many soldiers get into the habit of wearing sunglasses all the time. Perhaps because you can look around without people seeing what exactly you’re looking at!? And some prefer to wear their sunnies pressed up to their face. Maybe it’s more comfy that way!? In any case, many soldiers always carry their sunnies with them everywhere when they return to civilian life.
