William Howard Taft – 139.5
President William Howard Taft is the only person to have ever run both the executive and judicial branches of government. With an IQ of 139.5, the Taft was the 27th president from 1909 to 1913 and was also the 10th Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. Born and raised in Ohio, William studied law at Yale University and was also a member of the secret society Skull and Bones. Throughout his twenties, he practiced law and was also a judge. While serving, he focuses mostly on East Asia and also got involved with Latin America.
James Buchanan – 139.6
The 15th president didn’t improve much from his predecessor. Most historians will recall that James Buchanan had made some lofty goals for himself as president. Buchanan promised to reach the great heights of George Washington during his presidency. James Buchanan joins the presidents who had an IQ of 139. Unfortunately, he didn’t quite get there.
