You might not be aware that the show is based on the play “The Audience.” It is all about characters from the royal family in the ‘40s. The main actress of the show is Claire Foy, who plays Queen Elizabeth II in her youth. The series gave us a good idea of her early reign, but it covers other events in the family’s history. It is always fascinating to see what happens in this TV show!
