Kirstie Alley – Then
Kirstie Alley got to play Lieutenant JG Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan from 1982 to 1983 before moving on to her most well-known role as Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom Cheers. Alley joined Cheers in 1987 and decided to stay until the end of the season in 1993. Alley won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance as Rebecca Howe. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Alley continued to appear in a number of films.
Kirstie Alley – Now
After starring in films such as Sibling Rivalry, It Takes Two, Deconstruction Harry, and Drop-Dead Gorgeous in 1990s, Kirstie Alley decided to return to NBC to star in Veronica’s Closet. Alley appeared in a number of television shows, mostly in the 2000s, about her life. Alley was Jenny Craig’s spokeswoman from 2004 to 2007, and she made her dramatic weight changes widely known. Back by Midnight in 2002 and Accidental Love in 2015 were her most recent film appearances.
