The truth was finally out of the bag: she was no German heiress. In reality, she was Anna Sorokin, a Russian-born woman. Born in 1991, the family later moved to Germany in 2007. Contrary to her claims, she actually came from a working-class family. When her family was asked about the trust fund she claimed to have, they said it was the first time they heard about it. Clearly, she was lying about her identity the whole time.

An Offer And Counter-Offer
Anna had no qualms trying to sweet talk her way out of her problems even when she was at a dead end. She made a plea deal offer of only one to three years in jail. The judge at the trial firmly rejected this, however. The judge provided a counter deal that came with three to nine years of imprisonment. Anna “Delvey” Sorokin said no and opted to go to trial. Well, we will soon find out if she made the right call.
