A Story
In 2011, Jerome “Jerry” Alter’s book of short stories was released. It was titled ‘The Cup and the Lip’, and there is one fictitious story in it that is about a woman and her daughter stealing a 120-carat jewel by distracting the museum guard and leaving in a getaway vehicle. Once the pair arrives home, they place the jewel in a hidden panel in their home. There the jewel stayed for their viewing pleasure.
