Sharing, which made sense if you think about the values Woodstock upheld, was another big thing at the festival. Since there was not enough for everybody, people shared their food. Too many people were there, and this led to a shortage of food. Fortunately, love was being celebrated by people! A lot of people volunteered on the festival grounds to feed the attendees. As humans had to be fed, gender, race, and age did not matter.

The festival lasted for three days, and there were lots of musical performances. Among the performers were The Who and Creedence Clearwater Revival! The latter was the first big-name act to sign on by the organizers. This gave the festival credibility it needed to get other well-known to sign on as well.
