Brown Rice
Brown rice is high in potassium and phosphorus compared to white rice. Some better substitutes for rice are couscous, buckwheat, pearled barley, and bulgur since they are nutritious but contain less phosphorus.

Banana
Bananas naturally have low sodium content, but one medium banana actually contains 422 mg of potassium. Unfortunately, plenty of other tropical fruits contain a high amount of potassium. Even so, there is much less potassium in pineapples than in other tropical fruits, so pineapples are a more suitable alternative.
