The actress had to fight hard to get equal pay with the male stars of the show since they had all been working on the show for the same amount of time. Sadly, she ended up losing this fight. This was the reason she left the show during its ninth season. Isn’t it ridiculous that the network refused to grant her very valid request? The actress said that she will “always love Maggie,” but she could no longer play her for this reason. Even though there are still rumors that she will return, nothing has been confirmed yet.

The real reason the actor departed was that he was “burnt out” and wanted to work on new things. It was a risky thing for him, this much is clear.
