Academic Magnet High School
Academic Magnet High School is for students who are academically gifted and motivated. Students are encouraged to develop a sense of global responsibility, contribute to community members, and cultivate and uphold cultural diversity at the high school. Academic Magnet High School offers Honors and Advanced Placement courses, with 97% taking the AP exam and 99% of those passing. Students can also publish their work in professional and academic journals. Academic Magnet High School offers over 50 student clubs and sports teams, including chess, debate, robotics, and physics.

Townsend Harris High School is a public humanities magnet high school in the Queens borough of New York City. The school aims to promote learning as well as a sense of beauty. Students are exposed to a variety of viewpoints to foster an appreciation for all viewpoints. The school’s mission includes encouraging students to strive for excellence and to develop a commitment to serving the community. There are numerous clubs and activities, the majority of which are focused on academics and community service.
