The Komodo Dragon Is The Closest Thing We Have To Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are no longer around, but the good news is that we still have the Komodo dragon to make up for this! The species is millions of years old, so it is a relic from those days. The gigantic creature is the biggest living lizard in the world and the closest thing we have to the dragons in Game of Thrones. Even though it can’t fly or spit fire, it can take on a water buffalo and the like. They can reach a length of 10 feet and a weight of more than 300 pounds. On average, however, these animals do not get any heavier than 155 pounds. The biggest one was 10.3 feet long and 366 pounds heavy!
