Portrayed Real-Life Figures
Edward Hermann was best known for portraying real-life historical figures on television, such as Franklin D. Roosevelt, before taking on the role of Max. The Lost Boys offered him the chance to try something new, and he apparently jumped at the chance. “I was given the script and read it and thought it was fantastic. In the documentary The Lost Boys: A Retrospective, the actor admitted, “I’d do anything to get out of a suit and avoid playing historical characters.”
