Nebraska – 34.1% Obesity Rate

The Cornhusker State has a rather high obesity rate at 34.1 percent. This figure has been on the rise for a couple of years now. In fact, the number has been steadily rising from 2013 to 2018. A little over a third of the local population is considered obese! Major changes should be employed to prevent things from getting even worse. Isolated programs asking for lifestyle changes are simply not doing the trick.

Nevada – 30.6% Obesity Rate

Like a lot of Americans, people living in Nevada seem to be growing bigger and bigger. The numbers are still on the rise, which means more cases of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Even though the state has been putting up obesity policies, it does not seem to be effective. At any rate, Nevada does require better nutritional standards for school lunches compared to other states.
